There's a new name in residential CI distribution, and it's thinking big. Amber International is the brainchild of BMB Electronics BV boss Willem Bok (pictured above left) and AWE Europe's MD Stuart Tickle (right), and arrives on the scene with remote control brand URC, in-wall/in-ceiling custom audio loudspeaker maker TruAudio, interconnect experts Planet Waves and Kinetik Labs onboard. The new operation will handle international sales, marketing and technical support for these brands within the EMEAA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia).

Co-owner Tickle says that the new venture is on course to becoming a leading force in the international distribution of CI products: "Retaining the strengths of BMB's existing relationships, resources and presence in international markets, Amber also draws on AWE's sales, marketing and technical expertise which is proven to develop business for leading brands in the UK."

He adds that the collaboration presents a "clear direction and strategy for the brands it represents, which will enable Amber to build awareness and significantly increase sales."

The company is headquartered in Veen, the Netherlands, and shares warehousing and logistics with BMB. Both BMB and AWE will continue as independent distributors for their respective brands in the Benelux and Blighty.

While Amber's team will boast its own dedicated personnel, it aims to build on the experience of both BMB and AWE. Mark van Zon has been appointed International Sales Manager.

The operation's website is currently under construction, but at some point you'll be able to find out more here
