Visitors to the November Region 1 CEDIA Tech Forum will get their first look at the new Leaf LU1082 10x10 ULTRA HD matrix, boasting HDCP 2.2 compatibility, as well as the LU1E, hailed as the world’s slimmest HDBaseT Class A receiver. Leaf will also be running a training course on day one of the event, covering 4K UHD,  HDMI 2.0,  HDCP and HDBaseT. The session is just part of a comprehensive look at new CI technologies.

The CEDIA Tech Forum will take place at The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, on November 26-27. In addition to the various training courses, there will be a keynote address by Maria Ingold, CEO of tech consultancy Mireality.

Other sessions will include an HDBaseT-led training course by Wyrestorm; ‘Pitfalls and Best Practice for IP’ by Habitech; 4K content and distribution by HDanywhere; wired and wireless multiroom audio by AWE; Leaf on 4K UHD; 4K switching and problem solving by Crestron; surveillance and control by Invision UK. Day one will conclude with the CEDIA AGM. Day two will concentrate on ‘The New World of Ultra Video’ and ‘Going Wireless: What’s the Real Deal?’ which run through the day.

Ticket prices for CEDIA members and non-members who wish to attend are priced at £50 and £100 respectively. Entry to the keynote is free for members, while the cost is £40 for non-members. The AGM is only applicable to CEDIA members, and is free to attend.  Dealers can register for the event here.

The CEDIA AGM on November 26 will be followed by Inside Out, a CI networking event which will be held at the nearby Mary James London club. Attendance to this is free for CI professionals and manufacturers, although ticket availability is limited. Inside Out is sponsored by Sony Marta Vision, Leaf, Rako, Pulse and JVC. The event will include a raffle with prizes donated by the sponsors. These include a full Rako demonstration kit, Wyrestorm matrix, Leaf extender kit, JVC sports cameras, Apple iPad and PlayStation 4s.
