
David Slater founded DSE in 1992, initially as property developers and moved into digital installations in 2000, covering home cinema installs, lighting and sound systems. In 2009, Signature Brand was set up as a Public Relations company providing PR to distributors and manufacturers in the Custom Install market. David also writes regular articles for the primary industry magazines and takes the lead in forum groups. David was invited to join the Society of British Interior Design (SBID) in March 2010, and was appointed as Digital Editor, and assists with digital media on the web and also forum groups.

Steve is a veteran of the UK consumer electronics
industry, having covered it for
various media outlets for more than 20 years. During that time he
created, launched and edited Home Cinema Choice, the first consumer
magazine to evangelise the work of the custom install industry. He
also sits on the judging panel for the Region 1 CEDIA Awards and is
a regular contributor to a variety of trade and consumer
publications and websites.

Jane Scotland has worked in the CI industry since 2003. As a co-owner of Beyond the Invisible she had hands-on experience of custom installation for a number of years. She is now the Commercial Director at Extra Vegetables which provides handy software drivers to Control 4 dealers globally. Jane served on the CEDIA board from 2006 - 2009.

Tony has 20 years experience in business development in the Audio Visual Distribution sector. Presently running his own product Distribution and Channel Consultancy business, Aventure Europe Limited, with partner Brian Chapman. Previous positions included VP Control 4 EMEA. Prior to this Tony set up the European office for AutoPatch a world leader in Audio Video Routers. This was after opening and managing the UK office for AMX, looking after business development and assisting the European Distribution channel. After leaving university Tony spent 9 years based in Singapore and established his own AV installation company.

Martin is a leading expert in discreet technology in the home and workplace. Working in specialist two-channel audio for 15 years selling what could only be described as 'controversial' products, he was looking for a new challenge. The opportunity of becoming part of a new distribution company, Redline in 2000, was an ideal forming ground for his ambitions. Now, as MD of Redline, Martin has focused the direction of the company, delivering award-winning brands that achieve the goal of 'invisible sound.'

Ajay Vasdev is a tenacious property sector entrepreneur with a number of successful pioneering enterprises in his portfolio including his flagship business Asco Lights - an award-winning, national, end-to-end lighting design and supply company. For the last ten years, Ajay, supported by his team of talented lighting designers, consultants and project managers, has worked with a broad spectrum of private and commercial clients on some truly spectacular projects across the UK and overseas. The stamp of Asco Lights' quality coupled with Ajay's dedication and passion for precision can be found in the standard of workmanship on every Asco Lights project, including hotel refurbishments, high-end residential developments, celebrity homes and commercial buildings to name but a few - always with Ajay at the helm.

Simon has worked in the design industry for over 30 years. Initially as a furniture designer and manufacturer, also playing an active role on the board of the BDG (British Design Group). Simon launched London based SCARIB Ltd in early 2008 and was short-listed for the commercial section of the International FX Design awards in 2010. Scarib works across different sectors from healthcare and hospitality to high-end residential projects. Taking a sensitive approach to contemporary and historic projects and developing successful spaces in the UK and internationally. His inspiration is that design changes lives for the better.

Cliff has been programming Crestron Control Systems exclusively since February 1999. Since then he's done very little else. Cliff worked alongside Robin van Meeuwen at the end of 1999 and assisted Robin as he went about setting up his fledgling operation, Crestron UK. Cliff was, in fact, employee No.1 at Crestron UK all those years ago! Since those days Cliff has been an ambassador for Crestron in so many different ways, and continues to be seen as a Crestron stalwart through and through. Cliff was a founding member of Crestron's own Approved Programmer Scheme, the CAIP scheme, and has been accepted among its members every year since then without fail. Cliff also writes for a variety of publications about matters concerning Audio Visual Integration and Entertainment Systems.
